We love hearing how our customers are using Box on the iPhone and iPad to get work done in new and exciting ways. The iPad use cases have been particularly interesting, with sales reps showing off product data from the Box iPad app during pitches, and construction workers using Box to access blueprints at project sites.
Today, we're releasing four new features to make your Box mobile experience even better. iPads and iPhones are becoming crucial business tools in businesses of all sizes, and these updates are designed to make the Box iOS apps more secure and more powerful. Here's a rundown of the cool features we've added:
Locking and Auto Logout: Ensure that your Box account is always secure by applying a four-digit passcode and setting your iPhone or iPad to logout automatically when Box is closed.
SSO Login: Connect Box to your PingFederate and Google Apps enterprise identities for a more seamless and secure user experience on both the iPad and the iPhone.
Video Out: Present directly from your iPad during meetings or pitches, using a VGA-out cable to project any Box content onto a TV, LCD monitor or projector.
Air Printing: Wirelessly print any content straight from the Box app. This feature works with any Air Print enabled printer - just a single click on your iPad will give you hard copies whenever you need them.
With businesses like Dole, TaylorMade and Clear Channel already using Box on the iPad to transform the way they work, it's clear that tablet devices are taking off in the enterprise. With these new updates, your Box content is more useful than ever before, and your IT department can rest assured that it's secure.
