2013 has been a busy year here at Box. We've been hard at work improving the core Box experience for users, creating simpler ways for businesses to manage and secure information at scale, and expanding our vibrant ecosystem of developers (now in the tens of thousands!).
Content sharing and collaboration is an increasingly exciting, competitive market, so we're particularly happy to share that Box scored the highest honor in the recently published Info-Tech report, "Vendor Landscape: Cloud File Sharing." Box was evaluated against a number of services: Citrix ShareFile, Dropbox for Business, Google Drive, Infrascale FileLocker, Microsoft SkyDrive Pro, SugarSync, and Hightail (formerly YouSendIt). And, as you can see in the graph below, we're the only solution in the "Champion" quadrant!
Is anyone else humming the Queen song? :)
Since synchronizing business content across multiple devices is now a given, Info-Tech analysts advise enterprises to consider advanced features such as collaboration, multi-layered encryption and administration capabilities. Info-Tech recognized Box for leadership in the following areas:
- Enterprise Application Integration: Once access is enabled, most enterprises are looking to get more value out of the content that they already have locked behind their core systems, making enterprise integration capabilities become much more important. Box helps customers connect cloud content with systems that enterprises are already using to run their business: SharePoint, Documentum, Salesforce, NetSuite, Jive, tibbr, WebEx, and many more.
- Custom Application Integration: For companies that want to provide cloud file sharing capabilities through their own custom app, Box is a great choice. We've invested heavily in our API, and there's a vibrant ecosystem that already exists around the Box platform.
We're very grateful to have been named the highest-rated solution of the bunch. In the words of Info-Tech: "Box offers an outstanding product, and should be on the shortlist for any organization looking to replace unsecured consumer-centric versions of popular consumer solutions like Dropbox."
In the coming months, we'll be announcing all-new ways for individuals and businesses to do more with their information. In the meantime, check out the report! You can click here for your complimentary copy.
