Earlier this year, we partnered with DocuSign to make it easier for you to more seamlessly close deals and get contracts signed from the same platform you use to collaborate on content. This meant that existing DocuSign users could use Box to seamlessly manage business contracts in the cloud. We're now happy to announce that all of our users can take advantage of DocuSign's features, free of charge, and without ever leaving your Box account. Here are the 3 things you need to know to get started:
1) As you may already know, we're big believers in freemium, and now DocuSign has created an entirely new freemium service just for Box users. All of our users will now have access to 3 digital envelopes per month, meaning you can securely send 3 enevelops every month to an unlimited number of recipients for signature or review. Users and businesses with greater transaction needs can purchase any DocuSign service plan and connect it to their Box account.
2) This service is built right into our interface. When you right click a file, you can hover over "more actions", then click "sign with DocuSign". It's that easy.
3) If you don't have a DocuSign account already, you can get started using on Box in less than 10 seconds. Once you click on "Sign with DocuSign", you'll be prompted to enter a username and password - after you click submit, you'll be immediately redirected to your file. Now you're ready to send it away for review!
We think this is a big step forward in empowering Box users - what used to require a fax machine and days of waiting now takes just a few seconds and a click of a mouse.
