We're thrilled by the amount of interest we've seen in developing for the Box platform. Our awesome developer community has been hard at work building apps over the past few months, so I'd like to highlight a few of my favorite additions to our directory:
Click.to aims to reduce all of the unnecessary clicks involved in copy and pasting text and files. All you have to do is copy a file to the clipboard to send it to your favorite applications in a snap. It provides another simple, quick way for you to add content from anywhere to your Box account.
LincDoc is a dynamic electronic form and document automation tool that takes your existing documents and creates a user-guided process for filling out forms and information. Once your form or document is complete, you can digitally sign it and send it to Box. LincDoc even has an iPad app, and you already know we're huge fans of mobile apps at Box :).
PDFWatermark allows you to watermark your files and convert them to PDFs. It's a great way to clearly identify your documents and keep them secure when you share them with others, and PDF Watermark even lets you e-mail your newly watermarked documents straight from Box.
ccScan brings scanning to the cloud, allowing you to scan your documents directly into Box, effectively eliminating an entire step when sending your documents to the cloud. ccScan’s complete solution extends basic scanning functionality by including the ability to add descriptions, tags, and comments to files – super helpful for people who do a lot of editing.
You can check these out and browse the rest of our apps library by heading over to Box.net/apps. We'd like to extend a sincere thank you to our community of developers, who work hard to create tools that help you get the most out of your content on Box. Our Mobile Dev Challenge is coming to an end in a few weeks, so expect to see a ton of new apps in our directory soon!
