Over the last few months, we've introduced a bunch of different social features that make it a snap to stay connected and in sync with the rest of your team. You can revise important content in seconds with Box Edit, assign tasks with ease and even use the familiar "@" symbol to call out a collaborator in the comments.
As always, you can log in to your Box account to leave a comment below a file and keep the conversation going. But we know a lot of workers still live in their inbox, so we wanted to make it easy to respond to a comment the second you see an email notification. That's why we've introduced another way for you to quickly leave comments – reply via email. Now, leaving a comment is as easy as clicking "send." Pretty nifty, right? Here's how it works:
When someone leaves a comment on a file you own or collaborate on (or even if someone mentions you on Box), you'll receive a typical Box email notification that looks like this:
To respond and post a new comment, all you have to do is hit the reply button, type out your comment and click "send."
Your post will appear on Box instantly, and everyone collaborating on the document will see it. Of course, if you prefer, you can always view the file directly in Box by clicking a link in the email notification.
You can reply from anywhere you send email, so give it a try on your browser, tablet or even your phone. Leaving feedback and never been quicker or more convenient. Be on the lookout for more fun ways to collaborate on Box in the near future – we have some exciting features coming up. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the new comment via email feature below.
