By now, you can probably tell we're pretty pumped about our upcoming customer conference, BoxWorks. Boxers – and customers, too – are eagerly counting down the days until we get to learn, network and party with people who are as crazy about the cloud as we are.
But if you can't make it to BoxWorks, you should have a reason to get excited, too. That's why I'm delighted to announce our BoxWorks countdown contest; it's a way for all our social media followers to countdown to our conference by tweeting for a chance to win awesome prizes – like say, an all-expenses-paid trip for 2 to attend BoxWorks in beautiful, foggy San Francisco.
Since this is a countdown, we'll be giving away one prizes every week or so until September 23, 2011. And even if you don't win the grand prize, you'll still have a chance to snag an iPad 2, Honeycomb tablet or Box swag. Here are the details:
- 1 Grand Prize: Trip for 2 to BoxWorks (includes transportation, registration and hotel) and an iPad 2 – winner announced on September 9, 2011
- Runner-up Prizes: Tablets, Box swag or other mystery prizes
How to enter:
I'll provide you with new Twitter assignments on the blog, and you'll need to follow the directions to be eligible for that week's prize. Be sure to bookmark blog.box.net and check back every week!
This week's theme is Box-inspired haikus, which will give you a chance to exercise your creative muscles a bit while having some fun. To be eligible to win, your tweet must include the hashtag #BoxWorks. Here's an example tweet:
#BoxWorks "It's BoxWorks, BoxWorks / gotta get down to BoxWorks / SF here I come"
Each haiku should follow the following format: "5 syllables / 7 syllables / 5 syllables." Entries must be tweeted by Friday at 11:59am to be eligible, and the winner will be announced Friday afternoon. The prize this week is an iPad 2, so get tweeting for a chance to win!
We'll announce the grand prize winner on September 9, 2011, so check back in a bit to get the Twitter assignment that could lead to a trip to San Francisco :).
Only US residents are eligible for the grand prize. Don't worry though, you can still win runner-up prizes if you're international. All entrants must be at least 18 years old. Full list of official rules located here.
