Working in small scrum teams in an agile environment, Box Engineers work on a wide range of technical tasks, including backend distributed systems at the petabyte scale, analytics, platform developer support, mobile OS and so much more.
At Box, I’ve worked as an individual contributor and an Engineering manager on a wide range of really interesting technologies and products. Box is realizing the vision for companies all over the world, and I work toward that every day with talented teammates in a great office culture.
I’ve had quite an exciting ride at Box. My first project worked on building our initial framework for database scalability. Today, I’m leading a team of backend engineers building our core infrastructure services. I also run our annual Hackathon—one of my favorite events at Box!
After two years at Box, I feel I’ve accomplished so much yet still have more to learn. Every Boxer makes a difference, and there are great engineers committed to growing junior engineers. There is a strong collaborative culture here that feels like an extended family.
