Culture at Box
A workplace that represents the world
Connecting people all over the globe is what Box does best, and that's how we power our culture, too. No matter who you are, where you're from, or what brings you to Box, we welcome the real you here.
The idea of "bring your ___ self to work" started with a small group of Boxers who recognized something amazingly unusual about Box's culture: that people could simply be who they are, without parking aspects of themselves at the door. As we scale, we continue to focus on belonging and building communities that thrive.
CEO and Co-founder
Box promotes openness and empathy through courses on how to counteract unconscious bias. Knowing our experiences shape our world views helps us build an environment where everyone thrives.
Taking action as allies
Fostering a culture of inclusion is the key to everyone's success. There's plenty of work ahead, and we remain deeply committed to listening, learning, and acting to build an organization that lives by these values.
Community means caring about our colleagues, our customers, and our partners. To effect change, we recruit worldwide talent, help nonprofits achieve their missions, and show support in times of need.
Focusing our efforts
We drive diverse talent into tech careers through programs like the Box Business Fellowship. With a goal of empowering nonprofits, we lend support in times of need and help ensure organizations have the digital capacity to achieve their missions.
How community shows up at Box
Boxers build connections during organized activities like exercise breaks, cooking classes, family fun, and table talks covering current events.
Employee Interest Communities
Fusing personal identities, passion, and culture, EICs provide support, learning, awareness, and engagement.
Our organization powers how the world does more good together, driving impact through nonprofit work.
We host events like Hackathons, Global Impact Day, Friday Lunches with executives, and Brand Ambassadorship.
Peers rally together for celebrations, new hire welcomes, teaching opportunities, candidate interviews, and more.
