We build inclusive communities that foster growth, connection, and impact. Initiatives include Employee Resource Communities events and our Community Corner — a growing virtual platform for global engagement. At our weekly All Hands, we share companywide updates on community efforts inside and outside Box along with how to get plugged in.
We started Box.org with a mission to help nonprofits attain their goals and power how the world does more good together. We are a proud Pledge 1% company, mobilizing our products, people, and resources to invest in communities we work and live in. We focus on diverse tech pipelines, improving how work gets done, and being a good neighbor.
When actions go against our values, we take a stand. We have spoken out against discrimination, federal restrictions on diversity training, mistreatment of transgendered individuals, the Muslim Ban, unethical immigration policies, and laws damaging to reproductive freedom. We stand in solidarity with the Black community against racism. We partner with the Justice Collective to diversify our suppliers.
We hold ourselves accountable, which is why we signed the California Pay Equity Pledge. As part of our commitment, we conduct an annual companywide gender pay analysis on hiring and promotion procedures to reduce unconscious bias and structural barriers. Our best practices help close the pay gap and ensure fundamental equity.
Career growth opportunities based around individual needs help to build up education, experience, and job exposure. Guides, on-demand training, management tracks, and seasonal sessions (now all virtual) feature specialized content that sharpens critical skills, and our annual survey gives everyone a chance to provide feedback on programs and experiences at Box.
