Chief Executive Officer, Cofounder & Chairman

Aaron Levie is Chief Executive Officer, Cofounder and Chairman at Box, which he launched in 2005 with CFO and cofounder Dylan Smith. He is the visionary behind the Box product and platform strategy, incorporating the best of secure content collaboration with an intuitive user experience suited to the way people work today. Aaron leads the company in its mission to transform the way people and businesses work so they can achieve their greatest ambitions. He has served on the Board of Directors since April 2005.

Aaron attended the University of Southern California from 2003 to 2005 before leaving to found Box.

Dylan Smith, Chief Financial Officer & Cofounder

Chief Financial Officer & Cofounder

Dylan Smith is Chief Financial Officer and Cofounder at Box, where he leads investor relations and all aspects of Box financial operations. He has been instrumental in the growth and development of Box, and is responsible for building the company’s business and finance infrastructure. Prior to Box, Dylan spent his time earning seed funding through various entrepreneurial endeavors. He has served on the Board of Directors since April 2005.

Dylan holds a B.A. in Economics from Duke University.

Dan Levin is President and Chief Operation Officer at Box, and is a member of the Board of Directors. Previously, Dan served as an advisor to various technology startups, including Box. Dan also held various executive roles at Intuit Inc., a business and financial management solutions company, including Vice President and General Manager of Healthcare and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intuit’s Small Business Group.

Dan holds a B.A. in the independent concentration of Applications of Computer Graphics to Statistical Data Analysis from Princeton University.

Jeetu Patel, SVP of Platform and Chief Strategy Officer

Jeetu Patel

Senior Vice President of Platform and Chief Strategy Officer

Jeetu Patel is Senior Vice President of Platform and Chief Strategy Officer. He leads the Box Platform organization, driving the strategy of platform business and developer relations. He also oversees corporate strategy and development organization for Box. Before joining Box, he was General Manager and Chief Executive of EMC’s Syncplicity business unit. Prior to EMC, Jeetu was president of Doculabs, a research and advisory firm focused on collaboration and content management across a range of industries, including financial services, insurance, energy, manufacturing and life sciences.

Jeetu holds a B.S. in Information Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Chris Yeh, Senior Vice President of Product

Chris Yeh

Senior Vice President of Product

Chris Yeh is Senior Vice President of Product at Box, where he is responsible for product management, platform strategy, partner ecosystem development and third-party innovation. Chris joined Box from Yahoo!, where he was the product lead for Yahoo! Groups, Delicious and other community products. Chris was also the head of the Yahoo! Developer Network, a third-party developer program. Prior to Yahoo! Chris was Vice President of Marketing at Tacit Software, which was acquired by Oracle in 2008.

Chris holds an M.B.A. from Wharton and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.

Jon Herstein, Senior Vice President, Customer Success

Jon Herstein

Senior Vice President, Customer Success

Jon Herstein is Senior Vice President of Customer Success. In his role, Jon guides the client services, technical support and implementation teams, ensuring that Enterprise and Business customers are successful in using the Box product. Previously, Jon worked with some of the biggest names in tech, including Accenture, Informatica and most recently NetSuite, where he served as Vice President of Professional Services for North America and EMEA.

Jon received his B.S. in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park.

Carrie Palin, Box SVP and Chief Marketing Officer

Carrie Palin

SVP and Chief Marketing Officer

Carrie is SVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Box. She joins Box with 20 years of enterprise marketing and sales experience. Most recently, Carrie was the Vice President of Marketing for IBM's Cloud Data Services and Analytics Software. Prior to IBM, she had a distinguished career at Dell, where she led various marketing groups, including the global team responsible for transforming the digital demand generation model.

Carrie holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Texas Christian University.

Lesley Young, Box SVP and GM of Global Commercial and Online Sales

Lesley Young

SVP and GM of Global Commercial and Online Sales

Lesley is the SVP and GM of Global Commercial and Online Sales at Box. She leads the strategy and execution for SMB, Mid-Market and Online sales efforts, the Renewals sales team and the Sales Productivity team, as well as driving demand strategy and pipeline development efforts. Lesley has over 15 years of experience in high growth pre and post IPO venture-backed startups, and is a proven leader in scaling sales and sales operations teams. Prior to Box, she held senior executive roles at MySQL, Informatica and Remedy Corporation.

Lesley holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Tom Addis, Box Senior Vice President, Global Field Operations

SVP and GM Global Field Operations

Tom is SVP and GM of Global Field Operations at Box. In his previous role at Box, he led the operations and expansion of the Enterprise Sales organization in North America. Prior to joining Box, Tom held a variety of sales leadership roles at salesforce.com, Siebel Systems and IBM. He has over 20 years of experience in growing and managing large enterprise customer relationships having overseen sales at some of the software industry's largest and most respected companies.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Niall Wall, SVP, Business Development & Platform Sales

Niall Wall

Senior Vice President Business Development & Platform Sales

Niall Wall is Senior Vice President of Business Development and Platform Sales. He is responsible for the company’s overall partnership strategy and global revenue generating relationships. Prior to joining Box, Niall held several senior leadership roles at Symantec, including Vice President and General Manager of the Norton cloud business unit, Vice President of the Data Protection Group and VP of Business Development and Alliances.

Niall holds a M.A. and B.A. from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Jeff Queisser, Chief Systems Architect & Cofounder

Jeff Queisser

Chief Systems Architect & Cofounder

Jeff Queisser is a cofounder and the Chief Systems Architect at Box, where he is responsible for the core technology, architecture and infrastructure of Box. He sold his first software at age 10 and later formed Q-Squared, a successful IT consulting company based in Seattle.

Jeff studied at Western Washington University before joining Box in 2006.

Evan Wittenberg, Senior Vice President, People

Senior Vice President, People

Evan Wittenberg is Senior Vice President of People at Box, where he leads a team that finds, develops and retains the company’s world-class talent. Prior to joining Box, he was HP’s Chief Talent Officer, responsible for a global workforce of 350,000 employees, and created and ran the Global Leadership Development function at Google. Evan was also the Director of the Graduate Leadership Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Evan earned an M.B.A. from Wharton and B.A. from Swarthmore College.

Peter McGoff, SVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Peter McGoff is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Box, where he leads the Box legal, compliance and real estate departments. He also works closely with the senior management team and Board of Directors on any legal, regulatory or compliance matter affecting the company. Prior to Box, Peter was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Informatica.

Peter earned his LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the London School of Economics, J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a B.S. degree in Finance/Economics from California State University, Sacramento.

Katsunori Furuichi, President & Managing Director, Japan

President & Managing Director, Japan

Katsunori Furuichi is President and Managing Director of K.K. Box Japan, where he leads the growth and development of Box in the Asia Pacific region. He joined Box from VeriSign Japan, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to VeriSign Japan, he was a Partner at PRTM Management Consulting (currently PwC Consulting).

Katsunori earned an M.B.A. from London Business School and a B.A. from Kyoto University.

Paul Chapman CIO

Chief Information Officer

Paul Chapman is Chief Information Officer at Box, where he is responsible for leading the company’s global information technology strategy and driving the development and delivery of key IT initiatives to support the company’s growing workforce and customer base. Prior to Box, Paul was the CIO of HP Software for HP, where he led the IT organization and supported the development and delivery of IT solutions. Chapman also served as Vice President of Global Infrastructure and Cloud Operations and Vice President of Enterprise Applications at VMware.

 

He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Filton Tech in the United Kingdom.

 

Sam Ghods, Services Architect & Cofounder

Services Architect & Cofounder

Sam Ghods is a cofounder and Services Architect at Box, where he is responsible for backend architecture. Prior to his current role, Sam led software architecture at Box for eight years as Vice President of Technology. Previously, he was an engineer and cofounder at two small startups.

Sam studied Computer Engineering and Computer Science at USC before joining Box in 2006.

Dana Evan has served on our Board of Directors since December 2011. Since 2007, Dana has invested in and served on the boards of directors in the internet, technology and media sectors. Dana currently serves on the boards of directors of Criteo S.A., a performance display advertising company, Everyday Health, Inc., a provider of digital health and wellness solutions, and Proofpoint, Inc., a security-as-a-service provider.

Dana was selected to serve on our board of directors because of her experience in operations, strategy, accounting, financial management and investor relations at both publicly and privately held technology companies.

Rory O’Driscoll has served on our Board of Directors since April 2010. Since 1994, Rory has been a Managing Director at Scale Venture Partners, a venture capital firm. Rory currently serves on the boards of directors of several privately held companies and previously served on the boards of directors of ExactTarget, Inc., a digital marketing software company, and Omniture, Inc. Rory holds a B.Sc. from the London School of Economics.

Rory was selected to serve on our Board of Directors because of his experience in the venture capital industry and as a director of both publicly and privately held technology companies.

Steve Krausz, General Partner, U.S. Venture Partners

Steven Krausz has served on our Board of Directors since August 2013. Since 1985, Steven has served in various roles at U.S. Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, where he currently serves as a Managing Member. Steven currently serves on the boards of directors of Imperva, Inc., a data security company, and a number of privately held companies. Steven holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Steven was selected to serve on our board of directors because of his experience in the venture capital industry and as a director of both publicly and privately held technology companies.

Gary Reiner has served on our Board of Directors since August 2012. Since 2011, Gary has been an Operating Partner at General Atlantic LLC, a private equity firm. From 2010 to 2011, Gary served as Special Advisor to General Atlantic. Gary currently serves on the boards of directors of Citigroup Inc., a financial services firm, and Hewlett Packard Company, a computer software, hardware and IT services company. Gary holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Gary was selected to serve on our board of directors because of his operating and management experience with technology companies.

Josh Stein has served on our Board of Directors since July 2006. Since 2006, Josh has been a Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a venture capital firm. Josh currently serves on the boards of directors of several privately held companies. Josh holds a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Josh was selected to serve on our board of directors because of his experience in the venture capital industry and his knowledge of technology companies.

Bryan Taylor has served on our Board of Directors since August 2014. Since 2004, Bryan has served as a Partner at TPG Capital, a private equity firm. Bryan currently serves on the boards of directors of IMS Health Holdings, Inc., an information and technology services company, and a number of privately held companies. Bryan holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
